How do I mirror my Android phone to another phone for hot standby?

The full app is offered as an APK for Android phones. It needs to be compiled manually (which you can learn to do) on your computer. Once the app has been compiled and installed (running in the background of your computer), you'll see a mirror icon appear in your computer's menu bar. When you click this icon, you'll have full access to the phone.

You can also mirror the phone from your computer's web browser. To do this:

Download the app, or use an APK.

Go to http://varietyapp.com/download/free. (This link doesn't work for me right now, so you'll have to go to the website directly.)

Download the app.

Download the MirrorSettings module.

Set your Android phone to hot standby by clicking the icon in your computer's menu bar. Then restart your computer and press the hot standby button on your phone.

Now your phone will be fully ready to use the next time it powers off. Once you've done this, you can quit mirroring your phone.

When you're ready to mirror your phone again, go back to the mirroring feature. Press the mirroring button in your computer's menu bar. Then restart your computer. You'll automatically pick up where you left off on the phone.
